The hotel itself was fine.
The booking was prepaid in advance using a Corporate card (prepaid not reserved) for an employee (card in boss’s name and guest was employee). The policy on Booking for this property only stated for the guest to provide ID and a credit card for incidentals. The hotel made no effort to contact prior to check in to send any authorization form if it was necessary (turned out it was. For a room already paid for in advance). Employee travelled 5+ hours and went to check in and they would not let her because she did not have the corporate card that paid for the room. She was willing to give them her personal card for the incidentals (which is how it usually is for our organization to pay hotel rooms) but they refused and made her cancel the booking. They then offered her the same room but at more than double the original price paid and only for 1 night when 2 were booked. They assured the corporate card would be refunded in full if contacted through Booking but its been days and they have not bothered to respond and issue the refund. This is not only to say that the employee was treated like a nuisance and disrespected by the staff when she was trying to check in.
