Sorell Hotel Krone

Hotel Krone is situated right in the heart of the old town within a short walk to the main railway station and many restaurants/cafe's. Our deluxe double was spacious, very clean, well presented and air-conditioned which was absolutely essential as the temperatures were in excess of 34 degrees each day of our three night stay, the public areas however were not. There was both a coffee machine and kettle with an ample supply of coffee and tea. Hotel Krone was the last hotel we stayed in during our five week stay in Switzerland and I would say that the breakfast rated as one of the poorest on offer. That said we would certainly stay at Hotel Krone Winterthur again as it was well situated and very clock to where we waned to be.

Sadly a good hotel was let down by the staff who were almost all grumpy, unsmiling, unfriendly and looked very unhappy. The only exception were the room cleaning staff and one young gentleman at the reception.

Convenient location. Great breakfast with a good variety of food.

Good sized room, very comfortable bed, great location, excellent breakfast, very good value for money. Tea and coffee machine in the room was also much appreciated

Nothing. Unfortunately we were there during a festival so it was incredibly noisy. We were fortunate to have a quiet room but our friends were disturbed till 3 am. Also the underground car park was very expensive. 48ChF. Not the hotels fault tho.
