The Grand Beach Inn

This is a great location, right across the street from miles of beach. My room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the pet friendly policy.

My room was freezing cold after having been empty for a week. (I came on Friday night.) The heat was on, but needed to be set higher or turned on earlier. An extra warm blanket in the room would have served the same purpose. This will not be a problem in summer!

The room was clean & large.

There was completely inadequate lighting in the room. I had brought a book to read, but couldn't find any seat in the room with light! Also, there were unseen railroad tracks right behind the hotel. Around 4:00 am, my roommate was awakened by a looooong freight train rumbling by. Online pictures showed a nice pool, but despite the warm weather, it was closed for the season. With the seasons warming and summer seeming to last longer, I believe "resort" properties should seriously consider extending the season past Labor day to Columbus/Indigenous Peoples day.

cable TV didn't work or the Air-conditioning

It’s location is amazing. Right across the street from the ocean and only a short drive into Portland. The restaurant on site was also excellent.

We arrived late and the office was closed. We were not informed that the keys will be left for us.
