The Declining Standards of The Ritz Hotel While The Ritz Hotel has historically been synonymous with luxury and opulence, my recent experience has painted a contrasting image. Here are the reasons for my profound disappointment: 1- Communication Breakdown: The hotel claims not to monitor messages sent via third-party applications. This is a blatant disregard for customer service, especially considering I had sent urgent requests for early check-in through these channels. 2- Check-in Chaos: After an exhausting wait of three hours, I was presented with a room that wasn't what I had booked. To add insult to injury, they tried to downplay the error, offering me my original room only after an additional hour's wait. 3- Credit Card Compromises: a transaction generated from the Ritz on the 15th of October with 201.9 dollars with Authentication code H37610 hit my credit card at 2:00 am Florida time where the front desk stated that they dont have it recorded in their system!!! Despite the fact that I have paid the total payment of the stay upfront with 500 dollars as deposit. 4-Housekeeping Havoc: On October 16th, after leaving my room from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, I returned to find it untouched. Such negligence points towards deeply rooted management issues. 5- Neglecting Basic Hygiene: The bed sheets weren't changed for over four days. Such disregard for cleanliness is unacceptable, especially for a reputed establishment. 6- Plumbing Problems: The water pressure in the shower was so low it almost felt non-existent. A luxury hotel should at least guarantee basic amenities working at their optimum. 7- Incomplete Amenities: It's shocking to find that even basic amenities like cotton swabs were missing from the room. 8- Poor Isolation: The room's main door had such terrible sound isolation that every passerby in the hallway became an unwelcome guest in my room.
EVERYTHING! Everything was wonderful, we had a great time.
The price was too high for most things.
Me and my wife stayed for 3 nights including our wedding night as we got married in Saint Cloud Florida, the stay was beyond perfect, as soon as you drive in to the reception through the beautiful palm trees the lobby and location is made of beautiful marble, the location is amazing on the lake and I love that it is connected to the JW Marriott which allows users to use the waterpark slides and the lazy river which is a really nice edition to a luxury hotel. We had a room on the 12th floor and the views were stunning to look out across the lake, the staff team were very helpful and amazing, the staff team got us a lovely complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate our marriage among a few other bits. The food was amazing and the in house coffee was very very good. This was the first time I stayed at a ritz of any kind and was my favourite hotel out of all I have ever been too which includes the Burj al Arab in Dubai. we stayed for 3 nights before going on honeymoon and totally recommend. Be sure to book the ritz instead of the JW if you deciding between the two, you won't regret it.
The prices was very high inside the ritz, which I suppose is expected. Hard to find any fault, but the breakfast buffet was quite limited compared to a Hilton breakfast.
The fancy restaurant, spoon and knife for whatever the name is was over priced for reasonably good food but ridiculous charges for very small portions.
The Ritz-Carlton Orlando provides a serene escape with its 500-acre resort grounds, including a Greg Norman-designed golf course, a luxurious spa, and an 11,000-square-foot pool with private cabanas. Dining options range from farm-to-table cuisine at Highball & Harvest to fine dining at Norman's, offering a diverse culinary experience. Guests can also explore the property's nature trails and enjoy guided eco-tours on Shingle Creek (TripAdvisor)
