The District Hotel

A standard hotel with all the amenities that you need. Right where the party is.

The shower drain was blocked and dirty (with hair). It got flooded when taking a shower. I reported the problem to reception and they sent housekeeping to check it. Their conclusion was that as the water would eventually lower back down it was not urgent to be repaired. The maintenance person was not available and there were no spare rooms, so their message was that I basically had to make my peace with it. I find this unacceptable for a 120 EUR a night hotel. They didnt even offer compensation of any kind.

Breakfast was acceptable. In the room there was an electric mug and mugs, I used to make herbal tea because I got sick (probably from pollution). It was close to public transport.

Around were construction sites, a car wash and heavily trafficked streets. There was a lot of pollution, dust, noise.... I got sick after 4 nights, I'm very sick now. It was a single elevator used by both employees and guests. We arrived at the reception in the morning, the receptionist was sarcastic: "Write on the booking when you will be accommodated". There was no luggage room, we left our luggage in the large lobby which was also the breakfast room. There were cases when we arrived at other hotels early and the receptionists were kind, accommodated us. Here they checked us in after 2 pm.
