We love Downtown Las Vegas and always recommend the Plaza for so many reasons! This is an iconic property that has been in many movies and music videos.Located in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas and at the beginning of the Fremont Street Experience. This iconic Hotel has been a part of Las Vegas downtown history since 1971. In 2011, the Hotel reopened after completing a $35 million renovation to all guest rooms and casino. New dining and lounge selections were also introduced. In 2013, the newly renovated William Hill Race & Sports Book was unveiled and still rivals as Downtown Las Vegas’ largest sportsbook. Summer 2013 brought us a new loyalty program, Plaza Rewards.

The Plaza has what could be the best spot in all of Downtown Las Vegas - right at the corner of Main and Fremont. The rooms are updated, and just last year the front of the hotel, facing Main, was updated with the Carousel Bar, a Pinkbox Donuts, and a slot area curated by Brian Christopher (non-smoking!). So much going for it, and the management is stellar!

The Plaza is the perfect chill & budget friendly option on Fremont Street! My favorite is the pool, which reminds me of vintage Palm Springs meets Vegas! It was a fun vibe with great music, but no pool party atmosphere - perfect for sun-tanning, socializing and having a few cocktails! It's heated and open year-round, and there's even a hot tub! The rooms here are basic but quite spacious and clean. There are great food options on site. I highly recommend Oscar's Steakhouse - it was phenomenal. Make reservations, and go hungry! The portions are massive. The rest of the food options are more casual - Hash House a Go Go (must eat), Pinkbox Doughnuts, a Mexican burrito joint, a rice bowl joint and a 24/7 Subway! The new Carousel Bar outside is a really fun vibe, and if you're a beer drinker, the main casino bar is where we found the coldest beer in Vegas!
