Location! Location! Location! The place is located in German Quaoter, a very nice and central location. You can easily walk to the Old City's Jaffa gate. The apartment itself is very nice, large and clean, but there's obvious water damage on the walls in the bedroom. Water, milk and fruit on arrival. Lots of books about Jerusalem in English and some quality English language fiction.
Obvious water damage in the bedroom on a wall next to the window and under the window. I have mold allergy, which flared up a bit. The hosts were rather rude. While we were still sleeping after a long nighttime walking tour the evening before and a long drive before that, a lady awoke us to see our passports and visas. I have twin girls, and I knew that the apartment was large enough to accommodate all three of us, and it did. However, the lady became really angry when she saw that there are three of us and demanded extra money for the second child. It was rather confusing and shocking to us because in the US, you pay per a room, no matter how many people stay in. The lady yelled, came back, and yelled some more, "There are 3 of you, 3!", at which point I said, "Just charge whatever it is you want to my credit card" just to make her leave. Apparently, twins can share a womb, but not a sofa bed at Templer Inn apartment, LOL! I'm not sure how much more they charged for the outrageous number of occupants in a one-bedroom apartment, consisting of two twin girls and their Mom. The lady did say how much it was that they charged extra, but I don't remember because I was half-asleep. The whole thing was very unpleasant. We stayed only for 2 nights. Two other places we've stayed so far in Israel didnt charge us extra for the fact that there are 3 of us or mention anything about it.
Perfect location for visitung the old town of Jerusalem, just 20 minutes walk to Jaffa Gate. Dining across the street even on Sabbath (old railway station).
The best apartman Ive ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you meet the owners. They are polite and hospitality people. The apartmant was super clean and it feels like home. Also, the location is great and it's near the old part of the city. Bonus info: The lady makes delicious traditional breakfast and you must try it!
The apartments location is very convenient,it will take you either 20 min of walk to Zion gate of Old City or you can take free shuttle bus to Dung gate (it goes every 20 min from First Station which is 3 min walk from the apartment). Everything was clean,it is obvious that apartments are taken good care of. We had fruits and coffee with cookies as a welcome from hosts and it was super pleasant. The hosts are super open and friendly, the communication was smooth and pleasant and we are thankful for their hospitality.
