Could do with a clean
Prince of Wales Hotel is a beautiful building , the rooms need a bit of paint but apart from that I had a lovely room
Just need a bit paint and biscuits when visitors come to the hotel . But apart from it’s a beautiful hotel .
We went to restricted forest, contacted the hotel to see if we could check in early,, it was no problem for them also booked taxi for us, and let us sit in the bar even though it was closed so we could wind down, thank you to everyone that works threw loads of love chris, Charley, donna and naj xxxx
Absolutely nothing
Breakfast was nice . Bed was comfy
No soap of any kind in bathroom , no shower gel in dispenser , no soap to wash hands after toilet
The only thing good about this hotel is it’s close proximity to the centre of Southport. Superior Double just under £100 disgraceful!!
I frequently stay in hotels due to work and have stayed in Southport many a time for pleasure so I have a good understanding of what to expect with regards to how much you pay and the types of rooms to choose. Well I stayed in what was classed as a superior double. Initially I struggled to find the room due to sequencing not following on and the receptionist just seemed less than pleased when it came to helping me despite it being my 3rd attempt trying to find my room telling me it’s 1st floor in lift then left left and right didn’t actually take me to my room! Eventually the bell boy took me to my room and even he said it’s isn’t an easy room to find given the wall had a plaque displaying numbers that didn’t include 115. There were holes frayed in carpet and the wallpaper was coming away from the wall by the tv along with some trunking hiding cables just hanging freely down the wall. There was no soap in the soap dispenser over bath/shower and everytime I opened the bathroom door the shower screen was crashing into the door as it wasn’t stable no matter how many times I pushed it over the bath it smacked off the door when entering the bathroom. The windowsill was filthy with mould when I lifted the net curtains to try open the window to let some fresh air in as it had a very musty smell in the room. My window opened on a security cable to about 3 inches max and when I looked out I can only describe it as something you’d expect to see when looking at the back of an abandoned/derelict building. All in all I would suggest you avoid this hotel at all cost as a “Superior Double” at a couple of pounds short of £100 is equivalent to what one could only imagine it is like to stay in the cells!!! Only I’m quite certain as there’s a duty of care they would be better maintained. So Mortified I left before 6am as I just needed to get home to have a shower.
Was clean and comfortable the staff were amazing
It was nice and airy,no worries ,left alone unless ya needed anything and the staff were full on helpful nothing was too much for them x the food was lovely and plenty of it have booked again
Nothing I would ve liked our accessible room to be upper level, not the basement ( which was all they had) but I definitely would like a room with a window which the staff said they would try and get us one gor our next booking
