We had lots of family camping nearby so we had 14 people for dinner each nite and our cottage and kitchen accommodated this well.
We brought a 39 ft open fisherman boat - the docks on the front of property on wide water would not accommodate the draft of the boat - water not deep enough. We were able to tie up at the rear dock ( X & Y I think) but the canal is so narrow it was trickey turning the boat around! A very tight canal.
Excellent
Everything was good
It was very private and quiet.
The breakfast selection could be a little better. Especially the coffee and creamer.
Perfect location and amazing view
The Kiki bar which was about 5 minute walk up the road.
Our last night in Florida we increased our budget to make it special (265.00 for one night). We were given the Shrimp room on the opposite side of the road. We opened the door and stepped into a dark, run down room, one window that overlooked waste land and industrial size dustbins. I returned to reception and asked if we could be moved. There was no alternative as some rooms were being treated for termites. We went out and didn't return till bed time. On return we had the choice of a noisy air conditioner vs strange unpleasant smell when switched off. I spoke to the supervisor in the morning who said I should have rung them to find out what room was available and perhaps a lower charge. He said I need to contact the 3rd party agent if I wish to pursue any refund. He did eventually offer a token gesture & refunded the 26 resort fee (we didn't use the resort).
Its just the Best!
