Tranquil and beautiful garden courtyard- breakfast was nice and convenient to have included -lovely views on the terrace - quiet area away from the prime commotion but still walkable to the center- staff was very friendly
This was a great little oasis in Antigua with a lovely courtyard and roof terrace. We loved the breakfast they had and the staff very very helpful with information about the town and where to go. There was a restaurant just a short walk away called Porqu No, it was incredible too. The bed was very comfortable and most things you might need in a room were there too.
The shower pressure wasn't the best but overall I was happy with the place
My daughter took to being very ill in El Padron so I booked her a room here after her visit to the hospital which was all a little frightening in a foreign country. The hotel was amazing, they were so kind, that my daughter and her friend paid out of their own Gap Travel budget for another night plus they got all their washing done, which was really a special treat having been in hostels. The breakfast apparently was amazing, the room and bathroom where huge and the garden was super peaceful, thank you so much for looking after them.
Nothing it was all amazing
beautiful place, nice terrace, we had room with chimney
Pros: - the first few days I stayed here there was no one else at the property and it was so quiet and perfect. As some more people came, you could hear everything but nothing to be worried about. Most people were considerate and there was no loud music or parties. - I actually liked that it was further back in the town because there was less noise and cars (although on the main road side you could hear everything). I was happy to be in a room on the far side of the property. - the room was adequate; small but comfortable. the bathroom was pretty small but hot showers available. There were tables and chairs to sit on the porch outside the room as well as a small terrace on top of the hotel. You just had to walk to the other side of the hotel to access the stairs that go to it. Wifi didn't work well up there but an awesome view of the volcanoes when the sky was clear. - the breakfast was included and wonderful. I enjoyed it each morning. - staff was so sweet -- the girls that worked during the day and the young man in the evenings tolerated my terrible Spanish. :-) - I felt safe there as they locked the gate all day and night. you just have to ring the bell to get in and yell to them when you want to leave. - the wifi worked well from the room/porch area. - some basic toiletries given and towels of course. - yes, it is a little bit of a walk to town center but it was worth it for more peace and less exhaust from buses/cars. - oh and a wonderful little art room on the first floor
Cons: - the shower in my room was a bit spastic and sprayed crazy which made it longer to wash up and hard to wash my hair (but at least there was hot water every night) - rooster behind the hotel every morning and all day but what place doesn't have a rooster nearby?! - a little hard to find because it just says 'hotel' on the outside, no hotel name. would be helpful to have a sign somewhere.
