Hotel Baltum

The hotel is designed very nice and is just like the pictures. Its a shame as it has a lot of potential. Its very close to the beach and it was clean. The rooftop was also a nice place to sit for a drink. There is also a luggage room that you can keep your case if you arrive early.

You may as well be sleeping outside with how loud it is. There is no soundproofing. We didnt realise we were so close to the strip so that is our fault however, we were woke up around 3 times throughout the night with a man shouting and swearing to let them in to the door next door which was a bit intimidating as young women. Once they finally got in the room you could hear their very long entire telephone conversation. The staff were very unhelpful and rude when we complained. Phoned reception to ask for an alternative room to the other side of the hotel or for ear plugs and they said that they couldnt accommodate either and that wed have to deal with the noise. They also did nothing to quieten the other guests. We then got a notice stuck to our door that the locks were being changed in the rooms from 8am onwards there was very loud construction to the extent I couldnt even hear my friend speak. The jacuzzi was also cold and would not get any warmer than 28.6 degrees. I asked a member of staff for help to heat it up and she said it takes about 20 minutes. We waited for 1 hour and it moved from 27 to 28.5 instead of 40. While the hotel is cheap, I would recommend avoiding as you will get no sleep through the night and you cant even catch up on it through the day.

Appalling property that had a room infected by flying bugs.

Infested room and the hotel didnt give us a refund despite having to flee.
