Good spread of breakfast. Would have been good to have some more local ( creole dishes )
Resort wasnt flexible with our check out timing. we requested for a few hours extension since our flight was at midnight and check out was at 11 AM !
Everything's great! Wonderful room with stunning views! Breakfasts are varied and tasty. The hotel is in a good location with unimaginable views and in particular on the beautiful Bo Vallon beach, but to get to it you will have to get your feet a little wet:) But in any case it doesn't spoil the stay at this beautiful hotel!
We strongly do not recommend Fisherman's Cove Resort. We must first acknowledge that the front-desk staff had a very good and professional attitude and apologized for the mistakes they made. However, overall, we do not recommend this resort. There are significant issues with the resort's management.
Before we arrived Seychelles, the resort's reservation department said our credit card was failed for processing payment and asked us to pay through a non-Booking.com link, which made us and the Booking.com's customer-service staff feel like a scam or phishing. They also threatened us to cancel our reservation if we didn't pay through the link immediately. We took a lot of effort and made 4-5 hours of international phone calls in UAE. First, we changed the credit card from VISA to Master with the other bank. However, the resort's reservation department still said our credit card was failed to be processed. Second, our banks confirmed that there was not even a single payment processed with our credit cards. Neithor success nor failed processing. Did the resort's reservation department really try to process through Booking.com? The resort's reservation department didn't answer and still threatened us to cancel our reservation. It was a VERY VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE to be threatened and had to deal with it during a 16 days oversea trip. In the end, those international phone calls to the resort didn't help at all. We were forced to drive to the resort 3 days prior to our reservated date and pay with our original credit card at the lobby. Moreover, why the resort lobby could process the credit card payment but the hotel's reservation department couldn't? It's a resort that charges over 330 US dollars per night. But not only we had to wait for at least 2 hours for check-in, the room equipment was old and poorly maintained. The bathtub was leaking and didn't hold water properly, and the bathwater wasn't hot enough, either. The cleanliness was also lacking, with stains visible on the glass and mirrors. Breakfast was served in a semi-outdoor area, so birds often roamed around the dining area and even on the food serving tables. The staff seemed inclined to do anything about it, as if it was a common occurrence.
Location and food
Pressure in the shower
Room was aged but comfortable, the breakfast had a lot of variety but was the same every morning. The beach was nice but certainly not one of the best beaches on the island. The location was close to markets and nearby restaurants.
The restaurants at the resort and all drinks were extremely expensive compared to the rest of the island. We had better value, service and facilities on the other islands at resorts that were much cheaper.
The position of the hotel is directly on the sea but separated from the beach. The staff was super kind, breakfast was very tasty.
In general it is a very good hotel, it could be suggested to do some renovations but it is anyway very nice!!
