Hotel Domus Praetoria

Location was perfect; price was reasonable; room was a good size; very clean room and halls; good WIFI; helpful staff ; comfy bed; good towels; quiet, . . . . this was one of the best rooms weve had in Rome.

The hotel is situated 8 mins walk away from Termini station making it easy for guests to catch early train or bus to get to the airport. There are many restaurants, shops and places of interest that can be reached in less than 10-15 mins walk. Was welcomed by Dario and he was very helpful in explaining about the facilities as well good places to eat. There was another friendly male reception that worked evening shift and he always smiles. Marco has been kind too and he reaches out to me before arrival to find out if I need any further assistance. Please keep up the good work! The room was very spacious, clean and gives you the vintage feeling.

Due to facility being an old building, was able to hear a young kid crying from next door. It's not the hotel's fault but I advise people to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper like me.

Location of this property is great and the restaurants nearby were excellent. You dont need to go to Roma termini to get food. Its location is central to major tourist spots. Value for money.

Near train station

Kettle was dirty, its good that I brought my own kettle. Beddings should be white so that the guests will know if its new and clean.

It was close to the metro. Very nice and clean. Day customer service agent was fantastic.

The afternoon front desk clerk not very helpful. Gave me the wrong country code to phone a cab. Overall not very pleasant to deal with.

An absolutely amazing location, just a stone's throw from the Termini railway station. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. A walking distance from all major Rome attractions (Colosseum, Forum Romanum, Vatican City, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Baths of Caracalla, Piazza Navona, etc.). A fantastic and very helpful crew. An incredible and very conscientious cleaning service. A super spacious room - totally unlike any other hotel I have visited before - you literally get your space to breathe. Large wardrobe, comfortable beds, clean bedsheets and towels. Excellent amenities - an electric kettle, a mini refrigerator, a shower gel, tea and coffee. Absolutely nothing to complain about. This hotel truly deserves a 10/10 note.

If I wanted to be really grumpy, I would have a single complaint. There is a bar located down in the street (just vis-a-vis hotel windows), which remained very busy until the late night hours. Thus it was very noisy (except for Sundays when the bar was closed). Luckily I had my earplugs with me, however without earplugs I find it nearly impossible to be able to fall asleep. None of it is the hotel's fault though, thus it does not affect my rating.

The location was close to the main train/bus staions and hop on hop off bus stops. Plenty of restaurants nearby and walking distance to some main attractions.

The headboard to the bed had a shelf that ran along it so you couldnt really sit up against it in bed.
