Old Bazaar 1790

The location is excellent. Close to the fortress, as well as the old town. I loved the old Ottoman-era house and vibe. The view of the mosque from the terrace was just stunning. The hosts were very friendly and acommodating.

Weak security (my credit card information was stolen since the hotel was hacked, no compensation disappointingly), poor understanding / communication (I was mistaken for an error that another guest has done)

This hotel was absolutely amazing, mostly due to the incredible staff, particularly Anila, who was just the loveliest and kindest of persons. She and her male colleague (I forgot his name) treated us beautifully, including making sure we had something to eat and coffee before our early departure. They know how to provide excellent customer service. The location of the hotel is the best in Gjirokaster, located right in the center of the old city and close to the old house museums, the castle fortress, and the old bazaar and restaurants. You couldnt find a more convenient location in Gjirokaster. Finally, we had the King Suite (Room 206), which was magical and made us feel like we were back in time and staying like a Pasha in the best room in the city. This hotel was absolutely superb in every way!

Our room was next to the reception desk so we could hear everything when people checked in or out. Breakfast was meh.
