BrisbaneGood size room. Our room wasn't quite ready upon arrival so we were supplied drink vouchers by Dean so we could have a beer at the bar while we waited. Dean was pleasant and gave us some ideas on where to go and what to do.
The price of the room service was ridiculous. Over $20 for a ham, cheese and tomato toasted sandwich!!
Disabled parking was a major problem. All three spots in constant demand by Airport Transfer, Chauffer service and hotel staff arranged parking. Of the three occasions I complained only one member of staff took positive action. Disappointed that a younger member of staff thought it was all funny and a bit of a joke. My cohort consisted of two junior para athletes competing at a National competition. Both having disability passes (two families one car.)
Bed was very comfortable and location was great. The breakfast was good and the dining room staff were very friendly and helpful.
Front desk who checked us in was not friendly and did not help us with tourist information. The room was very dated and did not have the view we requested. The bathroom had a tub shower combo but the tub was so large, it was very difficult for an older person to get in and out of. There was no bath mat in the tub to prevent slipping and falling. We requested hand towels every day, sometimes we got them sometimes we didn't. We even had a front desk manager come to our room with face cloths and when we told him those weren't hand towels, he told us the hotel no longer had hand towels. And yet there were dozens of them.in the fitness room! The carpet was very old and worn and you could see where it had been patched in pieces. The light in the bathroom was so horrible, you couldn't put make up on there. There was hardly any counter space in the massive bathroom for toiletries.
Hotel was okay but overpriced for what we paid
