Every. Single. Thing. This place takes you back to a time of grand structures. I think I love the building more than anything, and I'll never stay anywhere else when in Toronto.
Downtown Toronto driving is tough. Back in its day, this would have been THE hotel. But that's all the negative I could possibly say.
Restaurant staff is good. Food is great concierge lady very professional nice front desk staff efficiency very good.
Nice location
Excellent location, in the heart of downtown, near waterfront (our place had a parcial view to the lake - gorgeous skyline!) right in front of train/ bus station, near metro, and near lots of atractions and good restaurants. Very chic and comfy ambience, the building is a neoclassical architecture, that was originally a bank from the beginning of 20th century. It was a recommendation from a friend, and I also recommend this place to all who wants to stay for a season in Toronto. My husband and I had a good time in this place.
Maybe we didn't like the loud sound playing commercial latin music at the bar in the lounge of the hotel, but that didn't become a problem as we chose not to stay there.
Neat nespresso machine in the room (too few capsules though). Very conveniently located opposite the railway station
Crazy overpriced for a shoebox size of a room with literally no closet to hang any clothes! Yes, they offered an upgrade for a fee, which would have made the expense more insane! Checkout at peak time only one staff taking 20+minutes to process (are you kidding me?). Popular spot with the local crowd - impossible to get dinner / drink in-house as total overbooked with non-guest!
