Explore six hidden beaches in Puerto Vallarta with a local guide. Admire the beauty of nature and swim and snorkel in blue waters.
After meeting your guide in Zona Romantica, take an urban transportation just like the locals do. Get off at a picturesque fisher town and start your hike following the riverbank and the sea. From there, ascend to the tropical forest with some amazing views.
After a short hike through the jungle, descend to your first destination, Colomitos Beach, also known as the smallest beach in Mexico. Take some pictures by the beach before continuing on your adventure to explore more hidden beaches.
As you arrive at your other destinations, grab the opportunity to swim in clear blue waters. If the sea is calm, your guide will take you to a secret place where you can snorkel and observe diverse marine life.
After your refreshing swim break, proceed to your final destination and last beach, Playa las Animas. There, you have the chance to try an incredible local seafood plate before taking the boat back to the fisher town where you will see the bay from a totally different perspective.

Great hike to nice beaches
100% worth the money one of the best experiences here in Vallarta. The hike/tour lasts approximately 4.5 hours, it is a bit strenuous I would say moderate level, you can do as a beginner but definitely bring non slip shoes/sandals. Our tour guide was Diego and he was amazing! He’s from Vallarta and had lots of knowledge of the trail, the local environment and biodiversity. Definitely recommend!
Alex, the guide, did an amazing job. He was informative and helpful. When he discovered that one of the hikers was not in good enough physical shape for the hike, he hired a boat to drive us around one of the most difficult sections of the hike. Suggestions- there was a lot of confusion amongst the hikers as to how long the hike was and if we were hiking both ways. I actually wanted to hike both ways. The trip description didn’t do a good job at describing this. Also, I would have preferred not stopping so long at some of the not very attractive beaches and just hiking through to the end and enjoying beach time at the beautiful last beach.
We had a wonderful time exploring and our guide was great. Public transit was fine, not amazing. The hike portion took us from our first beach location, which was so fun, directly up over the mountainside. Not too steep or too long, but it’s a good little hike. Each beach along the way had some really fun and distinct moments. Our favorite beach had crabs crawling on rocks that came out of the water at the edge of the shore. Really fun for the kids and really beautiful. The snorkeling left a little to be desired. All of the spots for snorkeling were competing with the waves. Not the toughest but you gotta work for it. Our guide also didn’t spend much time trying to help with the snorting piece of this. He had the gear and made it available, it just wasn’t high on his priority list. All in all, we had a great time and got to explore a part of PV we would have never seen on our own. I’d do this kind of activity again. Cheers!
it was nice hike along multiple different beaches with different sizes and amenities on them. the hike is almost easy and well maintained. the last beach is a popular beach with restaurants and delicious foods, mostly seafood. and fair amount of amenities. Juan, the guide, was an energetic boy in his twenties, knowledge about the area and can speak English which was a plus for me. overall, I recommend the acti
Esta experiencia es única, las playas son hermosas, la caminata muy amena y nuestro guía Diego es excelente, sabe mucho de plantas, es muy atento y flexible. Muy recomendable.
An Unforgettable Hiking Experience! This was an amazing hike from start to finish. The trail offered just the right balance — moderate at times, but always rewarding. The paths were well-maintained, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Our guide was exceptional — smart, friendly, and genuinely caring. He constantly checked in on everyone to make sure we were safe and comfortable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this hike to anyone looking for a scenic adventure with a personal touch!
The hike was advanced . You must have have cardio and good stable feet / knees. The beaches were stunning . The worst part was the transpiration . It was a local bus . Hot stuffy , packed and stooped at every stop on the way home . I thought for the money we would have had a a/c van ? Was assuming this .unfortunately not. It was the only bad thing about the day. Our tour guide was so sweet and friendly .
