Begin the tour at Kayak Village in the area of Las Croabas, Fajardo. First, learn the basics of kayaking, safety, and the rules of the nature reserve.
Paddle towards the entrance of the Fajardo Bio Bay, a red mangrove channel. Along the way, see its beautiful protected flora and fauna.
Proceed into Laguna Grande and into the sunset, where the night will fall and stars will follow in the sky and water. At every stroke of your paddle, sparkles will appear in the water, while the kayaks will create a swirl of light.
Enjoy the constellations while sitting in your kayak at Laguna Grande. Cruise back through the mangrove channel, led by your guides. At this time, night has set. The kayak’s navigation lights will guide your way as you hear the wonderful nighttime sounds of nature.

Fun!
No glow
It was nice but I didn’t get to see the light from the animals so it was just kayaking at night. Cool experience but not worth the cost if there is nothing to see.
The experience didn’t meet my expectations I have never kayak in my life and this was a hard course to do without instructions or a tea class prior
great experience, will highly recommend and will definitely do it again.
The guides were AMAZING…especially our leader, Ineliz, who was extremely patient and knowledgeable. Also loved Miguel, Francisco, Brian and Neisha. Nature didn’t like our date, though…and so the view of the little bioluminescent creatures was minimal. No one’s fault. The kayaking was fun…and great exercise. Thank you!
We couldn’t see the bioluminescence, and I totally get why. It’s definitely not what we pay for, and I wish the tour company would have canceled it. But instead of doing that, they just sent us an email saying it was an option for us. Who reads emails on vacation time, right? And the worst part was having to cover ourselves completely with a tarp. My family hated it!
