In this Belize travel guide, we'll show you all the best beaches and ancient ruins to explore in Belize. We'll provide information on the Mahogany Bay Village, the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, San Pedro, Caye Caulker, and more so you can make the most of your visit! Be sure to not only visit the Cayes but also mainland Belize. We had some of the best food in Belize City. We took a less expensive ferry to the city of San Pedro in Ambergris Caye. We stayed at the beautiful Mahogany Bay Resort by Hilton which cost us $316 per person x 6 guests for our 5-night stay in August. Prices can of course vary depending on dates, and the number of people you travel with. This is just to give you an idea! Having loyalty to a hotel is a great way to save money. We have Diamond Status with Hilton so when we booked 4 nights, we got a 5th night for free, and even though we booked a smaller (& less expensive room option) they upgraded us twice during our stay. You'll see their 3-bedroom townhouse and 5-bedroom townhouse with a private pool featured in this video that we enjoyed during our stay. We explored some of the most popular beaches like Secret Beach and tried the famous viper shot which had an actual snake inside of it! We also had an incredible local Garifuna experience which included traditional dance, food, drums, and other instruments. We went on an amazing catamaran excursion with Xsite Belize which included snorkeling the largest living barrier reef at the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, swimming with sharks at Shark Ray Alley, sailing through The Split, feeding tarpons in Caye Caulker, and having the best time with the best guides!
