If you’re planning on traveling in 2024 and are looking to book some luxury hotels, B&B’s or unique experiences; here are my top tips! 🛎️Book directly with the location. Although it can be tempting to book through a third-party site because they appear to have better prices, more than not you can get better deals with the location directly AND it ensures you will actually be getting the room you paid for. Third-party bookings are often given the worst rooms. Make sure you are getting the best bang for your buck! 🛎️Consider a mid-week adventure. Whether you are looking to collaborate with a location or just looking to go for fun, a mid-week booking is likely to get you better prices no matter the season AND if you’re looking to get some killer shots, the location won’t be as busy. 🛎️Season does matter. Every location has its own unique season for travelers so make sure you take that into consideration when booking. For example, If you are looking to visit a wine country, winter is best as the vines are no longer in bloom and tourism is down. Whereas places like NYC skyrocket during the winter months due to the Christmas sites. 🛎️Make maps! We all know I am the queen of maps but I make one every time I stay somewhere new so I can chart out which sites are closest to my lodging so as to make the most efficient use of my time. 🛎️Get up early for the best pictures! If you want some killer Instagram-worthy shots around the property then getting up before the crowd is the key, I was able to get the empty pool shot at Huttopia when the pool opened right at 7 am and no one was there, same for the shot of me on the terrace at Allegretto Resort. 🛎️Lastly - *never* trust the photos on the hotel website. Cross-checking your hotel on Tripadvisor, Yelp and tagged photos on Instagram will give you the REAL deal on what a hotel or location is like. Don’t be duped and always read reviews! ✨Tell me your 2024 travel plans in the comments!✨ . #lahistorygirl #luxurytravel #traveltips #2024travel #travelhacks #luxuryhotels #hotel #travelphotography #travelblogger #boutiquehotel #hoteltips
