LondonOld-fashioned decor of the property. Good bathroom and nice bathroom products.
There was no lounge area specifically for hotel guests. The bar is advertised quite separately to the hotel, to bring in outside patrons, with seating in all the downstairs area able to be reserved by people who just want bar service. There was live music on two nights we stayed. It would be good to have a quiet area where you could sit and relax after a day in town and The Zetter doesn't provide this. The armchair in our room needed respringing - you honestly couldn't sit in it. Breakfast was expensive.
This is a quirky hotel with a lot of character. It is in a relatively quiet location in central London.
Because it is almost primarily a cocktail bar and café, as a hotel guest, you are not always given priority when being seated etc. and there is no lounge or other space exclusively for hotel guests.
the bed was comfy the shower was powerful the toiletries smelled beautiful the breakfast was ideal
one or two artworks looked a little cheap not in an ironic way I called ahead to ask for birthday decorations in the room but this was forgotten.
Charming antique decor
The location was great for my sons wedding, we had three rooms
All three of our rooms were not serviced on the Saturday. We had breakfast in our room and left do not disturb on the doors whilst we got ready for the wedding, we left at 12.50am, removing all 3 do not disturbs. When we got back in the early hours of the morning, none of the rooms had been serviced. I rang downstairs and was told u have to put a card outside to say you want it done, what card?? Back to our 3 rooms with not drinking water, wet towels from Friday night and Saturday morning!! When checking out on the Saturday I was told cost of breakfast would be removed! Ok but I’d rather have had the rooms serviced than a free breakfast. I asked why they hadn’t done and she said you have to put a card out saying you want it done in case they forget to do it but she forgot to tell us. Unbelievable,
I booked the deluxe double room for a three night holiday at the Zetter Clerkenwell. The charming room was located on the top floor with a nice view through two large windows. The property is set back from the busy street and I was able to sleep with the windows open undisturbed. I enjoyed the fresh coffee and French press the hotel provided. The bathroom had plenty of nice linens and toiletries. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. There is a wardrobe where you can hang and place your clothes. The wifi was good. You do have to walk through the very busy pub in the evening to get back and forth to your room but not an issue. The property is located a short walk from Farringdon transit, which I used several times along with the bus service on Clerkenwell Road. I also walked to Covent Garden (about twenty five minutes). I felt rested and was comfortable during my stay and I love the Clerkenwell location. I will stay at the Zetter Clerkenwell again.
I loved everything about the property.
