SilkRoad Guesthouse

It was convenient to the long distance bus station and it was easy to catch the bus into the centre. Staff were friendly and helpful, though communication was difficult at times. It was a nice touch to have biscuits available during the day. The decor and theme were very attractive. Rooms were large.

I had thought I would be able to sort out travel information

The guest house is nicely situated. It is relatively close to the airport. Nearby there is a supermarket. You can reach downtown attractions like Alatoo square, parks and the Osh bazar in a couple of minutes by cap. The interior is very atmospheric, especially the dining room. Everyday a new breakfast is served which is very nice. The host is very eager to help with whatever questions or problems you have. Definetly a very good choice for starting a trip in Kyrgyzstan.

I thought it was decorated very nicely and the lady at the front desk was sweet. The breakfast was fine and each day there was something a little different usually an egg, a cookie, bread and tea or coffee.

I didn't love the location within Bishkek. I think this guesthouse would be best suited for adventurous visitors who are taking the bus to day trip to other places. The location was very inconvenient to get to the city center of Bishkek and there were people lingering around the gates. I felt unsure of the location. The place is cute but in my short stay the toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor and the electricity went out twice.

no sound proofing - you can hear all the noise coming from the outside. The wooden floor makes a lot of noise if someone walk upstairs and use the stairs.

Amazing interior filled with handmade elements that made the entire Guesthouse so welcoming and homely. Super clean, spacious and comfortable rooms (with attached baths!) And most of all, the very warm and hospitable host, Gulira & family!

A beautiful.property - very stylish and probably the most beautiful hostel I've ever stayed in. The people there are extremely helpful, it is very close to the main bus station, the breakfast is excellent, showers are good, the rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable.

I liked everything.
