Apollo Hotel Amsterdam a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

"The hotel sits at the intersection of 4 canals with the rooms facing the canals with a beautiful, peaceful view of this area of the city, which is more residential than business. The entrance to the hotel is serene and peaceful with a bridge over a small pond fully stocked with exotic fish that sits directly in front of the main entrance. The hotel also has plenty of bikes available to guests for their use. We were greeted by the friendly staff and checked in without delay. The lobby is inviting and leads to their beautiful restaurant and lounge that has incredible views of the canals. The rooms are done up in a 1920s deco-ey style with dark green tones and other earth tones. I was given a corner room with two sides of expansive windows that looked out on the canals. With all the curtains open the room felt expansive. To my surprise this was one of the few rooms with a balcony. It was a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine as the sun went down. "
