MEININGER Hotel Wien Downtown Franz

It is close to a metro station, and when you cross the river in the West, you get a lot of interesting attractions. The room was well furnished, the bathroom was clean and modern. The people at the front desk were helpful.

It is a bit expensive, that being said the whole of Vienna is expensive.

Location was good and check in was very fast. There is also locker service available if you wish to check out and explore more before travelling elsewhere, it is super convenient and safe.

I do not think anyone cleans the beds between guests. There was dirt, hair and suspicious stains on the bedsheets. I removed the bedsheet and slept with the other bedsheet underneath this one instead. Toilet also was not clean, shower full of hair and no refill of toilet roll until you go down to reception to request for it. Same with trash bin emptying, it has to be requested to be cleaned

The hotel was very central and easy walking distance to the trains and public transports and all locations we wanted to go was walking distance. They also provide good breakfast.

We had to wait 2 hours for the room. We arrived at 3.00pm and were given our rook keys, but the room was not cleaned from previous guest!! Then we waited till 5.00pm for our room to be cleaned, but again the room was not clean. There was hair on the floor and urine on the toilet seat. We just cleaned it ourselves with antibacterial tissue after that.
