Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Cartagena

The staff are exceptional and make you feel welcome. The breakfast buffet is amazing with so many tropical fruits to try. The pool is clean and great to do laps in. The garden is lovely to sit. The location makes accessing many of the local attractions. The junior suite with a balcony view of the pool and sea was very special. The Cano jewelry store was perfect. The whole experience is five stars.

An exceptional place: prime location above the old city wall and in a convenient but relatively quiet lication, beautiful historic property, helpful staff.

Rooms are fine but modern and not in the historic section. Also, this isnt unique to this hotel but having a thick down comforter on the beds in crazy when its so hot. I had turn the air conditioning up high just to avoid sweating all night.

I received an upgrade after a terrible experience.

The overall location was good. My room sucked.

I paid for a room with a pool view. My view was to a wall. They did not make any effort to change us to another room. The first night, my room ended flooded, unbelievable!

Very comfortable beds. Fabulous breakfasts overlooking the gardens. Very well located for walks around Cartagena.

Our room was overlooked by the sunset bar which had live music until 11pm but which wasnt available for us to enjoy during our 4 night stay as it had been booked out for wedding parties!!! Youd think the reception could have put some of the wedding guests in those rooms. We asked to move but no rooms available. Rooms very humid and wet if you open the door onto the balcony which we didnt because of the noise. I would try to book a heritage room (not many) if I could relive the experience.
