Great location and amazing breakfast included in price
No on site parking. Had to use public parking lot which was a couple of blocks away and very expensive. Probably wouldn’t be an issue for most people but given I’m in my 70s was a bit of a workout hauling a suitcase and bags from the parking lot to the hotel. Wasn’t the best location to be walking at night. Also terrible view from room and lots of noise from bars below, could have closed the window, would have solved the noise problem but it was hot.
Breakfast was excellent with a constant and plentiful supply of fresh food
There was a bad smell in the bedroom which I suspect came from the bathroom - was the odour because the S bend had dried out in the shower?
Breakfast was good in terms of hot food. Location was good. Room was clean. Staff pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself was very nice although the dining room furniture was rather spartan.
It seems that whenever I book a room with Booking.com it's always at the back of the hotel overlooking aircon units, skips etc. Our room this time, yet again, overlooked the aircon units at the back of the hotel and was also next to a plant room from which emanated a very loud hum all night long which wasn't conducive to a good night's sleep! The window wouldn't shut which I reported to reception and although maintenance were able to close it we couldn't then open it for fresh air.
Breakfast was good, location was great, security was exceptional - felt very safe.
Beds and pillows were really uncomfortable
Ideal location, right downtown on O’Connell Street, the heart of Dublin!
I wish the bathroom had more hooks to hang up towel towels
