The air conditioning did not work in my room. It was set to 60° but it blew hot air only. The mattress quality was poor and old, the pillows were old and flat. The carpet was sticky.
The quality of the room was poor. Very worn and dirty, the carpet was actually sticky on bare feet and the air conditioning was blowing warm air despite the setting of 68°. When I called the front desk to complain, they said that the window units are old and that it was warm outside. The restaurant supposedly closed at 10 PM when I arrived at 9:30, they said the kitchen was closed, but also refused to serve me a drink at this time. I prepaid through Booking.com, but upon check-in and check out, they could find no record of it . I had to resolve it post check out, or rather they figured out that I had already paid after I checked out
Location
Access to rooftop bar was limited.
The location is perfect. You can't beat it!
The unit is a bit rundown. The AC unit really old and loud. The bathroom doesn't have a fan and the toilet barely flushes. I got a studio and it seemed a bit smaller than I imagined. Said ~500 sq ft but seemed smaller.
It was in a beautiful location and we had an awesome view of the park but when people travel nine times out of 10 they have things they need to put in the refrigerator and there was no mini fridge. And like we looked there were two bathrooms in this single room that had the bed, the couch, the TV, and everything else. There were two bathrooms but no mini fridge and they nickel and dime you to death... Hilariously when my husband checked in he said oh you know we get free prosecco we should go to the the restaurant on the roof and you know get it. Why not? We deserve to relax after driving from Pennsylvania that day. Aunt yeah it's one glass of prosecco per reservation. So like not one for each person. One glass Aunt. Honestly I thought that was kind of rude. Don't offer it all at all if you can't offer it to literally both people on the reservation... And holy hell the amount they charge for parking. They literally told me with all of our possessions in the car that there was no private parking and that we could park on the street or we could pay almost $80 for valet
Good location
Not a good selection of onsite food or restaurant
Great location opposite the zoo
Check in was appalling. Our room had wet carpet but they kept us waiting for nearly two hours before telling us. Each time we asked it was going to be ready in 10 minutes. No compensation for spending the night in a room with sopping wet carpet. No response to email or booking.com message afterwards. Unforgiveable
Location was great.
Parking was expensive and off property if we chose not to valet.
