Really nice Pool and the lodges look really nice. Super friendly stuff and good food! Perfect for 1-2 nights to do a Safari.
Due to the location in the middle of nowhere, there are many insects in and around the bungalow. In the small pond there are many frogs which are quite noisy in the evening.
The views are very beautiful! Saw a lot of wild animals- snakes, birds, reptiles and bugs!!! The staff was super friendly and helpful! Nice pool. Cute cottages with animal themes.
The road to get there was muddy and hard to drive. Almost got stuck. Even though there was a mosquito net the room was full with black bugs during the night that also got under the net. That was disturbing so the sleep wasnt too good. The bugs got into our stuff as well so found a couple of them almost every days for the rest of the trip in our suitcase.
Stunning location and beautiful cabins.
Nice and friendly staff
1. Very poor in cleanliness, stains in pillows and bedsheet; 2. Poor water pressure, water not hot enough when shower, and water tank broken during heavy rain; 3. Humid, bugs go inside rooms during raining; 4. No electricity during heavy rain for 30 mins; 5. Infrastructures are old and broken, spoons have stain onside and shower head broken
Amazing food and helpful staff. Thank you for everything!
Beautiful property. If youre looking for a quiet place to relax, Gaga Bees is ideal. The staff (Dinesh and Chef Dilan) were extremely friendly, and went out of their way to cater to our needs. We enjoyed our stay at Gaga Bees
The Pool was ok
Staff very unfriendly and incompetent, since safari was not booked with the accommodation. Book the safari privately, it's much cheaper!! Dirty beds, dirty towels and all animals (insects, ants, cockroaches, spiders, geckos, frogs, etc.) We canceled after one night...
We really enjoyed our stay at Gaga Bees Yala! The location is very unique as it was located in the middle of the nature. The lodges were very clean and well maintained! The bathroom was also very unique as the floor was created with white stones. The infinity pool had a nice view as well, however we did not have the time to swim. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The food at Gaga Bees is absolutely recommended! We ordered the Pad Thai and it was super tasty! One of the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Gaga Bees is the place you need if you want to do a safari in Yala!
The accommodation itself is suberb! A bit away from the cities but you dont need much else when relaxing here. We spend a day at the infinity swimming pool to relax with a very nice view. The rooms are comfortable with own patio and sitting area. AC worked super nice and the bathroom was great. Of course you have some frogs accompanying you late in the evening (only in bathroom, room itself had no insects) but thats evident with camping in the jungle. To us it increased the experience. Also staff is very friendly and really trying to make your stay great!
The prices are overrated. Because the property is a bit remote and there is no restaurant around, you are forced to eat at their restaurant. Although the food was very nice, its nowhere near Sri Lankan prices. Also the safari prices are average, however they claim to give 20% discount which is a bit misleading.
