Our guide Santosh
A really good little introduction to trekking in Nepal, especially if you’re short on time like I was. My guide Laxman was really informative, helpful and kind. Accommodation are all welcoming and comfortable. Would recommend.
The guide we had was amazing. Always took a break when me and my wife needed it. Helped with ordering food at every place we ate with and genuinely lovely guy to get on with. Not sure of the spelling but whole heartedly would recommend Laxma. He helped with arranging the bus ride back to Pokhara on the last day from a closer place as my wife's knee was playing up. The porter we had was great too and definitely helped. As for the trek itself, its very steep at sections but the views are exceptional and the people along the trail are incredibly friendly. Would happily hike with then again on a different trail
I have booked a 3D2N Poon Hill trek. They have been really professional throughout my engagement of their service with them. They will reach out to you to request for information for permit and also reply to my queries regarding the trekking. I would like to give a shout-out to the trekking guide, Laxman for guiding and taking care of me throughout the journey. He also specially brought fruits during our breaks or meals which is very thoughtful! He addresses any queries or concerns I have and shares his stories and experiences of his trek. Lastly, he goes out his way to make sure I get some delicious sweets after the trek! My trekking experience will not be awesome and filled with great memories if not for Laxman! Definitely will recommend Snow Peak and Travels to others, and request for Laxman to be your trekking guide!
This was a wonderful experience, and we were fortunate to have a really great guide (Sun) who matched our energy. It is a hard trek in 3 days - lots of steps, so would recommend doing this hike over 4 days if inexperienced. Weather was unpredictable (had extremes of sun and rain) in early September so be prepared with waterproofs, towels etc. The overnight stays were in basic but welcoming accommodation, with great views!
We (me and my father) did the 3 day Poon Hill Treck with Mr. Sun Bahadur and couldn’t have been happier with our guide. He is a very attentive and warmhearted man always making sure that we were doing well. He introduced us to the Nepali culture as good as possible in those three days and taught us a lot about the country. Bistari, bistari (Nepali for slowly, slowly) we hiked through the most epic landscape one could imagine. Thank you so much Mr. Sun for making this trip an unforgettable memory!
This trip was amazing: even if we had unfortunately foggy/hazy days without a view. the trails, the villages on the way, the stops (restaurants and the hotels), the food and especially the guide (Santosh) were great!
