Embark on an unforgettable day trip from El Calafate to the legendary Torres del Paine National Park in Chile—one of South America’s most iconic natural treasures. This scenic and immersive experience is perfect for travelers eager to explore glaciers, turquoise lakes, waterfalls, and the famous Cuernos del Paine peaks.
Your journey begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in El Calafate, heading southwest toward the Argentine-Chilean border. After passing through immigration and customs, you’ll meet your Chilean guide and continue the final 80 km drive into the national park.
As you approach the park, the landscapes shift dramatically—glacial lakes, snowcapped peaks, and wildlife like guanacos and condors begin to fill the horizon. The first stop is at the Lago Sarmiento viewpoint, followed by the powerful Saltos del Río Paine, and a stop at the upper viewpoint of Cerro Almirante Nieto and the Cuernos del Paine, near the entrance to Laguna Amarga.
Once inside the park, receive your boxed lunch and get ready for a series of short, low-difficulty hikes. Begin with a trail from Salto Grande that leads to the Mirador de Los Cuernos, located along the shores of the stunning Lake Nordenskjöld—a perfect spot for panoramic photos.
The tour continues to Lake Pehoé, your final viewpoint, where you’ll have a spectacular view of the Cuernos del Paine and the entrance to the French Valley, two of the park’s most iconic features.
As the day winds down, begin your journey back to El Calafate, enriched with stories from your guide about the geology, wildlife, and cultural history of this incredible region.
This full-day excursion is ideal for those who want to see the best of Torres del Paine in one day, with the comfort of guided transport, curated stops, and incredible vistas throughout.

Carla was a great guide, informative, friendly and extremely well organized (as was the whole tour). The landscapes are exceedingly beautiful, can only recommend.
Es una muy buena opción si deseas tener la foto y vista de las Torres Debes de tomar en cuenta que es full day, de verdad te vas muy temprano y regresas por la noche
I loved all the sights they take you to but the only thing is that majority are rushed especially the hike . We could’ve stayed a little longer to enjoy.
El tour es maravilloso, se hacen distintas paradas para disfrutar de los paisajes. Es una buena alternativa para ver las Torres del Paine desde lo lejos, se hace un mini trekking de baja dificultad. La atención del guía fue bastante amigable y amena.
Amazing. Carla, our super nice and attentive guide , kept us well entertained with lots of relevant information during the ride, so time flew by. Transportation was comfortable, had starlink available at all times when in the vehicle. Provided lunch was plentiful and tasty. There were multiple breaks during the day with options to stretch your legs, use restrooms, buy snacks, coffee, water or souvenirs. Torres del Paine is nature at its best. Saw highlights of the park and went on an easy , beautiful 1.5 hour hike ( mostly flat ). Saw wildlife, including a puma ( this was from the bus, on our way back, the driver stopped and gave us time to observe and take pictures). Everything was well organized, communication very clear and prompt.
Absolutely incredible day and trip. Very long bus rides but highly recommend for a beautiful trip.
The trip was really good from different aspects: prior to the start of the trip, we were constantly kept informed about requirements, expectations, and so on. We traveled in a well equipped truck with comfortable seats and even wifi during the whole trip. The tour guide, Silvestre, was very knowledgeable, helpful and made sure that everyone was understanding his instructions. The place itself is breathtaking and we were really lucky with the weather. The box lunch was really good and for sure, you are not going to feel hungry during the trip. The only recommendation would be to have more free time in the park but I understand that due to the distance and time constraints taking into consideration that it is a full day trip, this might be challenging.
