Our stay at The Heritage Hotel Galle Fort in April 2026 was wonderful. This elegant hotel, with its colonial architecture and charm, is ideally located. It is within walking distance of everything within the Fort, yet provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. Our spacious room featured an incredibly comfortable king size bed which, combined with excellent inter-room soundproofing, meant we slept very well. The beautifully prepared Sri Lankan breakfast, showcasing local flavors in an elevated way, was a feast. The option of a sumptuous Western-style breakfast ensured every palage was catered to. The highlight of our stay was an exceptional foot massage at the spa - easily the best we encountered during our travels in Sri Lanka, providing a rejuvenating experience after a long day of sightseeing. With its perfect blend of luxury and local flair (and excellent service by friendly and personably staff), we wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem to any traveler seeking an unforgettable experience, and we only wish we could have lingered longer to soak in all the charm it has to offer!
