Near From Home

We love hotel Maximilian for its high quality lodging, but also its associated brewery. The food is excellent, and far exceeds the typical Bavarian fare found in this region.

Coming in at a close second in Near From Home luxury travel to Das Traunsee, (owned by the same family just down the road) the recently renovated Post am See is a hip and modern take on the traditional Austrian post hotel. With a beautiful view of the lake, and innovative dining, this hotel is sure to take you vacation to the next level.

This is by far the most luxurious hotel and restaurant experience we have had to date. I think the stand out feature is the lake side sauna and amazing luxury restaurant. Make reservations far in advance, because it fills up!
