We just got back from our second quick getaway from Hyatt Regency Newport Beach and had an amazing time. This property is extremely pet friendly with plenty of space to roam throughout the resort. There are three pools and amazing outdoor space to relax and unwind. Despite it being Memorial Day Weekend and at full capacity, the property did not seem overwhelmingly packed. While the property seems to be a little older than some of the newer Hyatt hotels, it makes up for it with the amazing amenities if you plan to have a weekend of relaxation. Nearby the area, there is amazing food. Specifically, the Diamond Jamboree Plaza (15 minute drive) has a plethora of Asian cuisines and the city of Garden Grove (25 minute drive) is the mecca of Vietnamese food. Our trips here is a balance of relaxation at the hotel with our family and then a pilgrimage out to get some amazing food. This is also our go to hotel prior to attending Corgi Beach Day. We love this hotel and the Hyatt brand!
