What is there to NOT love about the Palace Hotel? This luxury hotel was originally built in 1875 but after the 1906 earthquake and fire, had to be renovated and its opening in 1919 is one of the greatest social events to happen in San Francisco history. Royals have stayed (and died) here, celebrities have dined in their Garden Court underneath the gorgeous chandeliers and YOU can be a part of that history. Location in A+, rooms are luxe and a proper afternoon tea in their Garden Court is not to be missed. San Fran has no shortage of nice hotels but this is one of the best!
