🔽READ FOR MY WEEKEND ITINERARY! This year I want to focus on traveling more outside of London and lean into short trips instead of only waiting for big major trips. Hubby set the agenda by booking us a quick weekend trip to Hungary for my bday because I told him I wanted a spa day for my birthday. He took it upon himself to book a weekend trip to Budapest, where they are known for having many bath houses and spas around the city. What a great weekend getaway! Here’s how we spent the weekend: 1. WALKING! We started our Saturday walking from the Parliament building (which was so beautiful and huge!) and admired the water front view for a while. We then walked through the city and stopped at the “St. Stephen’s Basilica” for a couple minutes as the shops and neighborhood near it were so cute and inviting. Then walked to the “Hungarian National Museum” and enjoyed the beautiful sunny winter weather before it was time for us to do our wine tasting tour. 2. Hungarian Wine Tour: we did our wine tasting tour with #tastingtablebudapest which was a major highlight for the trip! We tasted 5 wines and each had our own charcuterie boards where we were able to try different meats and cheeses from different regions of the Country. 10/10 recommend! We booked with @getyourguide (link in my bio to book the experience) 3. You have to have a spa day in Budapest! There are so many spas and massages parlors in the city it’s so hard to chose from! Or you can do one of the bath houses. We went to Gellért Thermal Bath House 🛁 4. Eat Traditional Hungarian Food: on our last night in Budapest before our 5am flight 😫 we went to @hungarikumbisztro and were blown away by how cute and fun the atmosphere was. We were lucky to get last minute reservations as we stumbled upon the place on our walk back to the hotel. I had the crispy duck meal and I was not disappointed. They even had a person playing cimbalom!
