Acanthastrea took over the reefing community during the early 2000's - and continue to be popular today, as they exhibit great coloring and are relatively easy to keep. The Acanthastrea lordhowensis and bowerbanki have since been reclassified as Micromussa and Homophyllia (respectively), but many of us old-schoolers still lovingly reefer to them as Acans.
