Come and join me as I tour the Pyramids of Giza and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Egypt. The penultimate video of my 2 month journey across Europe and Egypt. Nothing could be a capped ending then visiting the last standing Wonder of the Ancient World. We start this journey with a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza. Built starting in the 26th Century BC into the 25th Century BC, the three main Pyramids being built by a single dynastic family starting with the Pharaoh Khufu. Next down was his son the Pharaoh Khafre whose temple grounds lead down to the legendary Sphinx itself. Said also to be built in that time period. While I didn't get to visit much with the Menkaure's Pyramid, the smallest and dedicated to the grandson of pharaoh Khufu, Menkaure. I do take a camel ride across portions of the Sahara as well as exploring the: Tombs of the Workers, The Tomb of the Vizier and the one and only Sphinx itself. Afterwards I head back to Kempinski Hotel for some lunch at the Blue Restaurant and Grill to refuel. Then, head out to The Egyptian Museum of Cairo. One of the premiere Egyptian Pharaonic Museums in the World. How could it not be so close to the actual dig sites.
