Location
The remodel is a disaster. It’s not a Viceroy anymore. It’s a wanna be cool hotel. Every element of actual cool stripped. No aesthetic vibe. Extremely disappointing. Like a holiday inn express on the beach. Oof wait stall gutted. I waited at virtually an empty bar for 10 mins for a mediocre cocktail. Nothing in the room bar fridge. No water even.

It was a walking distance from the beach and other Santa Monica attractions. Hotel was amazing, very modern, good food, very helpful staff.

The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach and close to everything in Santa Monica. We loved the view from our room; it offered stunning sea views that really made the stay special. The staff were very helpful and responsive whenever we needed anything, which we truly appreciated.
The security deposit was quite high, and the valet parking fee felt overpriced. These extra costs added up quickly and took away a bit from the overall experience.
