White Olive Elite Rethymno

Good location, close to Rethymno, ( beautiful city), 15 km distance, but a rental car is recommended. The hotel provides all you need for a decent & pleasant staying ( all inclusive package) : accommodation, cleaning, pool, restaurant & private beach in front of the hotel. Food was good , fresh & diverse. Cleaning daily, if you want or need. We had a pleasant staying & appreciated the small details: welcome wine & fruits, bottled water daily, toiletries & beach towels ( 10 / deposit refundable). Thank you for a lovely staying!

Things that can be improved: food & deserts ( some of the ingredients could have better quality/taste), but generally the food was good & fresh; lunch to go( main course was a sandwich with 1 slice of cheese & 1 slice of ham), mosquito nests on door/window . If you dont expect usual 5 star luxury ( the hotel is somewhere between 3 & 4 star), youll have a great staying in an all you need nice & decent hotel.

Rooms were in need of attention E.g ceiling tile falling off in bathroom, took over 24 hours for them to fix Chairs in room very rusty Mould along shower screen Limescale on shower handles Mirrors and doors unclean Very strong smell coming from drains in bathroom continually Food was very basic, served canteen style. Selection not variable eg every night x2 options for dried pasta and a sweet tomato sauce, some pork/ occasional (what I think was fish) rice and potatoes/chips. Food wasnt very hot Some foods unlabelled therefore unsure what they were. Some salad items and cheese available. Taxis east to get - approx 16 into the old town which is lovely- loads to do there, well worth it

Poor location. Not much to do near the property

-The sea is located so close to the hotel, that it takes only 10 steps to get there. There was always enough space as well as in the sun as in the shadow. You can deposit 10 for beach towels and get always fresh ones when you need. After check-out, you get the deposit back. -The bar has such a great choice of cocktails. It was fun to try every time something new although compared to the cocktails we know, these compares more to mixed long drinks. The bar crew is very friendly; -The restaurant was the best for us. Every day you have very big choice of food, which is not only very tasty but also colorful and well-prepared. The crew of the restaurant was also amazing. The manager is very friendly and communicative; -The pubic area is well cleaned and the pool quality is 9/10. It is never crowded so you will always find a place to relax.

-When we arrived we have got informed that the hotel is fully booked and that we receive instead of our actually booked room (sea view) the family room, which faces the street. After two nights we received a standard room with limited sea view. It was very disappointing, also from the way the receptionist had told us that information. The receptionist didnt apologize and couldnt find any other solution for us. Thats not a five star treatment, specially after a long journey and late Check-In. -You must be aware that the pictures on booking are false about the Double room with sea view. There you find picture of family suite, which is completely different category. But after our complaining to the manager, they made everything possible to give us better solution and weve received a third room, with a very good sea view. As apologize, the staff sent us wine and fruits; -We had read earlier about the bad cleaning and sadly want to confirm it. The room was not properly cleaned, although we had mentioned it to the receptionist.

Easy beach access, clean rooms and towels are always replaced.

Food! Horrible, its more like an army base cooking, we ended up eating at the restaurants in town, the idea of all-inclusive doesnt work here, food is horrible. Your better off booking at a normal hotel and spending the rest on outside food.

Location. Too isolated. no entertainment. Its a European 3star hotel
