Carneros Resort and Spa

Very relaxing environment and cute small cottage layout. Felt private and safe, with nice visual design of the cottages and of the grounds.

There were numerous small maintenance issues with the cottage. It was hard to open the door, a window wouldn't open, the phone cord was tangled, a light bulb in bathroom was strongly flickering and the tea pot was slimy inside. I think this hotel could do a better job on service and maintenance of the cottages. For the price, quality of maintenance of the room was below expectation. The comments of the issues above were in the second room we were put into. The first room's glass door to the patio had bent hinges and wouldn't completely close and latch. So because both rooms had issues, I assume it is a more general issue at this property.

view from hilltop pool was beautiful, spacious and comfortable room, planting throughout the property and its grounds was gorgeous, SPF available at the pool, comfortable sun loungers

My patio area furniture was all covered with rain covers (it has been sunny for weeks). no one thought to remove and prep the outside area of my room before guest check in? The wine dispenser in room was broken/ empty. Room service was barely edible and took over an hour for vegetarian pasta. Hilltop pool service was non existent on Sunday. instead you were advised to order from boon cafe and theyd bring it, that took 90mins. it was so bad all the people who ordered at the pool, me included were comped. Two women stormed out of the pool area after waiting for 90mins only to have food they said was inedible. Hot tub was filthy. Two guests at the adult pool had their own speakers blasting out their own music along with the music being played by the hotel. it was awful. when I asked that one form of music be played they said theyd ask the guests with the speakers but couldnt promise Nothing extra in your room for Easter Sunday (chocolate etc), no bottle of wine upon arrival, no welcome drink. for $1.5k a night Id expect a lot better

We love the cottages and location. great views of wine country.
