Menger Hotel

We love staying at The Menger in the historic rooms! The food and service is always excellent and we love to lounge at the pool and have a cocktail. We have beem coming to The Menger for over 40 years!!

The only thing we wish you had was weekly rates or short-term rental apartments, because we would come vacation for a week!!

The location

The air conditioner cannot keep up with the demand and you really don’t have any control over the temp. When we got there it was set on 73 and it was 73. We turned it down to 68 then left for a little while. When we came back it was 74 then went to 75. We were leaving again so I called the front desk and they were going to send some one to look at it. When we came back it was set to 70 and it showed 70. We decided to leave it alone. When we got up it was 72 and set at 72. It was very muggy in our room the whole night. It probably would have been fine if we would’ve had some type of fan.

I liked everything and loved the pool. My only disappointment was stated below.

The restaurant was not open.

The old feel, it takes you back in time. And the signature scent diffused throughout the lobby. We had a historical room overlooking the garden. The pool is serene and quiet.

There wasn't anything I can say I didn't like.

Clean, appealing, quiet

Refused to help with luggage (I had a broken arm), husband with recently knee surgery). A long way to check in and 20 min wait. A bit expensive.
