The pool, and restaurant
Added charges like $30 to check in before 4 PM. Cake serving fee, which we weren’t charged but the fact that you have one and it costs as much as the cake does $40. Nickel and diming is a turn off.
The rooms were very nice, comfortable, CLEAN, and QUIET! I didn't hear anyone loud in the hallways, or loud neighbors, or anything. It was amazingly PEACEFUL because sometimes hotel walls can be thin or it can be chaotic and noisy with families going to and from. Also, the WATER PRESSURE was explicitly GREAT! I could have stayed in the shower for hours.
I would have loved for this hotel to be CLOSER to main parts of downtown but it wasn't too far off, but ubers were costly and though the hotel offered a ride service for free it was impossible to schedule it at a time that made sense. The hotel is nice but I'm not sure I'd stay again because of the location so far away from walking distance. Depending on what i'm in Savannah for I would absolutely consider it. I wish there was a convenient store of some sort close to the hotel also. The hotel is just a distance away from basic needs.
The employees. Bar, restaurant, and Alan the driver were all top notch!
We think our room appeared to be tidied up, but not necessarily cleaned.
Clean, dog friendly, rooms spacious, car service was great. The front door gentleman in short was very nice and helpful.
Not all staff was friendly at the front desk, the hotel seemed short staffed specially bar restaurants. The isolation of the hotel needs more support and options around it.
Modern, clean, good location
Larger rooftop bar
Location is A1. Bar Julian is spectacular. It might seem silly but the carts were the best we've ever used, as we were traveling somewhat heavy due to a 6.5 week trip so it was quite helpful. Room was awesome. Staff were lovely.
Pillows were super thin and we got caught in the rain checking in. Being that we were traveling so heavy, it takes a while to get things out of the car and tetris them into the cart so we got soaked and so did our luggage due to there not being a covered area to load in and out. The only other thing was the fridge in the room was barely better than leaving things on the desk, it didn't cool at all.
This hotel stay was a very bad experience overall. Hotel is OK, but Hyatt hotel company is a “crook”. When arriving late, I negotiated an upgrade. At check out when leaving the hotel, the price of the upgrade on the bill was not correct, I told the employee who talked to a manager and came back with the correct bill that i paid, got as paper, received as email and was charged for. One week later, Hyatt Hotel just took $690 from my credit card without notice to charge for the upgrade while it was explicitely showing zero on the bill i paid when leaving the hotel. It was very painful to try to settle with Hyatt, couldn’t t reach the hotel, the lady handling bill claims was rude and not listening, and it didn’t work. I then turned to VISA who refunded the $690 and I hope that Hyatt will have to pay for it. A mistake can happen, but being so persistent against evidences is NOT acceptable. HYATT HOTEL: NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN
