Location, comfort, delicious breakfast

Very extensive breakfast with local content
I have stayed at Hotel Haven with my groups several times. This is probably the 6th time I stayed there, the last time being in 2022. I like the convent location and the boutique feel of this hotel, and its overall design. The breakfast area is also nice and the breakfast itself is quite good.
This time the checkin process was very bad and lengthy. It took almost an hour. It was the first time I had booked through booking.com rather than with the hotel directly and maybe this was the reason, but it shouldn't be. There was a big mismatch between what I booked (room types) and what I had requested from the hotel and agreed on prior through messaging on booking.com, and the information that the front desk had when we checked in. This resulted in a really long time to check in and quite a bit of confusion. Also, it seemed to me that this time the rooms had fewer amenities than usual; they somehow lost that "feel" of luxury they previously had. For sure out of the 6 or 7 times I stayed with my groups at Haven, this was the worst, even though it wasnt bad, just the worst.
