Its location and helpful staff.
Two things. The shower was very small and a bit uncomfortable. It seems like a shower was added to a toilet, and they were smart about installing doors that move. The breakfast was good, but it is given in a restaurant that is more like a bar. Therefore, the place is dark and it smelled funny in certain areas where the food was served. I think it’s the cleaning products or mops.
Location, aesthetic, quality of offering, professionalism and friendliness of staff
Shower
The location is convenient, really center located and 3 minutes walk from Arlanda Express.
The room is really small and compact, wouldn’t be comfortable for a stay longer than 2 nights.
Great location right next to station and city centre
Nothing
The Frey is an older-style Boutique hotel with a lot of charm and in a great location. Close to the city centre and the Train Station for your convenience. The restaurant was good, as was the breakfast. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even after a booking incident, which I blame on Booking.com rather than the hotel.
I'm not sure what happened with the Booking, but I will blame Booking.com, which listed us as two adults instead of two adults and one child. For most hotels, this would not be a significant issue, as most places would have a pull-out couch or at least sufficient space to use a cot. The bathroom was so small that it didn't even have a shower stall. I was in a shower with doors that, when open, almost took up the whole bathroom. I've travelled a lot in my lifetime, but this was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. There was barely enough room for our luggage. Even if it was just my wife and me, I would still find the room way too small for anyone with a bigger frame of 6 feet and more
The location is ideal, close to all amenities (train station, tram, bus, stores, pubs/restaurants) The breakfast is very good
The 11:00 a.m. check-out time is a bit early (I prefer at 12:00)
