Hotel du Commerce

A classis stay in a village with historic walks, in abundant green close to the Pyreneees, Pau and Tarbes. Breakfast quite simple. The diner better.

The room had not really kept up with the times. It had no great feel.

We liked the hospitality of the staff. Very friendly and helpful

The toilet was a bit small and separate from the bathroom. It was 20mins away from the grotto so we had to spend 80 euro both ways for 2 days. And at the end of the stay we were charged 7.50 euro for asking to call the taxi for the two days which was bit of a surprise.

Beautiful old French hotel, with lop sided stairs and creaky floors. Very nicely decorated in a traditional style. Very clean and absolutely lovely hosts.

We were only there for a night. The toilet in a cupboard was original but it served its purpose.

according to the photos not the rooms that I thought which compared to rooms at city of Lourdes church this is very poor

11 kilometers away from city of Lourdes church and I thought its in very good condition when you compare with rooms in the city of Lourdes but unfortunately I am not happy with the prices, sorry

Overall our stay was fine for the price but the room and the conditions are already a bit outdated. It is in a quiet village which had a local party that day with some pizza places closeby. We did not have breakfast so I cannot speak about it. The staff is very friendly.

The air conditioning could make less noise (we needed to switch if off during the night) and be installed on a wall. For our purposes (a one night stay) it was fine but it would not be a good choice for a full week stay.
