Loved the stunning location with an amazing view looking towards Tintagel Castle. Our room had sea view and loved the small balcony. Four poster bed was an authentic antique frame. Comfortable mattress.
The hotel stay was very expensive, for the price paid I would have expected much higher quality finish in the bedroom I paid approx. £530 for 2 nights. Room needed new carpets and redecorating. The sofa could do with cleaning (light cream colour) and looking bit marked. Had breakfast and evening meal in the Irina restaurant the price for both was in addition to the room rate. Disappointing limited breakfast options, poached eggs not an option. Evening meal I chose roast beef but the two roast potatoes had been reheated and were hard and unpleasant to eat. Vegan chocolate brownie was very nice. Had to order coffee afterwards separately. Felt it would have been better to have a set evening menu for a fixed price, as the food did not come up to the quality of a la carte restaurant food. Felt restaurant staff were pleasant but needed additional training in interacting with customers. They seemed to be lacking in confidence and unable to deal with other international people with a light tactful happy reply. One just said I don't speak German, very blunt response I felt. One young waitress couldn't explain marmite was a savoury spread to Dutch customers. She just said I don't like it and left. Some guidance is needed.
Staff were exceptional polite and chatty. Location is to die for. Food was very good
If you book a standard room as we did. The bathroom is a boxed area in the room with a one piece plastic moulded unit comprising sink toilet and shower (. 24” x 18”). The water pressure was good but it is disgraceful that a hotel that claims to be a prestigious residence can get away with what can best be described as a pop concert toilet with add on curtained shower area. The smallest shower in the world. The rest of the room was a little better uncomfortable bed tiny pc monitor size tv and a very odd looking wardrobe. However we could upgrade for a fee. Disgusting
Stunning place, great location. Really good breakfast in the morning.
Toilets were small like train toilets. Clean but not enough room to the shower without watering everything around. Still understandable for the old castle not having the fitting for toilets.
The property is unique. The views are next level , worth every penny . Great location to the town and the beach.
The bed wasn’t as comfy as it could have been.
Location was amazing. A beautiful building
The room I stayed in was very much in need of some TLC, very run down. And the plastic shower and toilet add on it the room was tiny.
all above exceeded our expectations
Location, staff and atmosphere of the entire castle on the clifftop.
Nothing! All good!
