Location, hotel vibe
Small rooms, not a big separation with the bathroom.
The location was excellent. Walking distance to numerous shops and restaurants, and close access to the subway. Hudson Street is very pleasant. Clean, wide sidewalks, not crowded. A nice walking street. The staff was great, kind, friendly and helpful. They were also kind of playful and funny, which I like. The room was quiet and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. There was a comfortable spacious lobby. The hotel was clean, and had a nice friendly vibe.
The rooms are small. Room for a bed, small desk, and one small chair. No bureau or closet. The bathroom was a decent size. Me and my wife are both senior citizens, and were there Saturday and Sunday nights. Not the hotel's fault, but on Saturday night it was a party hotel. Everybody was happy and nice, but the crowd was young and a pretty wild. There was a lot of noise, but we didn't hear it in our room. Sunday was much more tame.
Location is central.
We were surprised by the lack of storage space in the room. We had to store our luggage under the bed, and there were only a few hangers on the wall for clothing. It would have been more comfortable with proper storage options.
