Ascot Hotel

Lovely decor, great vibe, excellent location.

The duvet and pillows were awful.

We had to be moved rooms twice due to the un clean rooms we were placed in. The room we eventually settled with was big and spacious. Although, bed was very comfy and the street was very noisy with a music venue right opposite. The staff were all lovely can’t fault them. Hotel is central.

Hotel location and the Josephine’s bar were great. The coffee pods in the room also very tasty. Shower is very nice, overall feel is very good

The bedroom was really dry, so it was uncomfortable to sleep in. I was also charged a random fee for using a foreign master card so the agreed price was actually increased by 79 krones. No explanation was given for this and I was also not warned. Feel like hotels will have traveler's from all over so I’d expect there to be no fee.

4th floor room has no stairs to it, only a lift. Stairs stop at 3rd floor. If you don't like lifts, be aware of this. 20 degrees Celsius outside and air con was actually making it hotter in the room. Can't override as set centrally. Reported and fixed next day, but still hotter than we liked. Turned off air con opened all windows, left open all day and better than air con. For this cost, they could do better. Breakfasts....all eggs bacon etc brought out in iron dishes. But these cool quickly and no heat source, so quickly cool, resulting in cold bacon, egg etc and so after day 2 went for croissant cheese ham. Again, could do better considering the cost of breakfast 245dkk per day per person. I would ask the owner stays one night on a warm night on 4th floor and then has cooked breakfast and then assesses if ok....
