Ascot Hotel

Charming, clean and very nicely appointed hotel with great service located near Tivoli in the city center area. Easy to walk from the hotel to the entire city center. Lovely full breakfast option for the mornings, in house bar/lounge for the evening. Staff was always helpful and courteous.

The hotel is situated in a string of buildings within the city block. Our room faced the neighboring building that was undergoing renovation and had scaffolding up the height of the building. At 7:30 am - daily, workers arrived and loud banging ensued, along with workers loudly conversing. Our third floor room windows faced all of this and workers were up at our level on the scaffolding. Of course, the hotel had nothing to do with this, however, I would recommend checking ahead of booking. In the evening, an outdoor live music/bar directly across the street from the hotel was bustling with patrons. The music and activity lasted until about 11:00 every evening we were there. It wasn't blasting, but loud enough to be a distraction if you're an early to bed person.

The room was cold, there was no heating, although the outside temperature was 10 degrees. There were no slippers in the room. I asked from the reception and they were charged 50 crowns! The carpet in the room had stains.

Location was good for exploring around Copenhagen.

The room we had was small and sink is in the bedroom rather than the bathroom. The hotel is opposite a live music and drinking venue. While the live music stopped at 9pm, most mornings the noise stopped at 3-4am and it was loud! We didn’t have a relaxing/well rested stay here.
