Hotel Montbrillant

It was literally across the street from the Geneva train station, which was convenient given that we had a 5:39AM train to catch.

Good location, especially close to train station. Very comfy bed! Authentic charm!

Bathroom could use some renovating.

A lovely hotel next to the train station. Very convenient. Staff were excellent and all were conversant in English. We had room 405 which overlooked the train station. We could see fireworks over the lake at night.

The shower was very small, but satisfactory.

Location was good. Very close to the station which was convenient. Price was reasonable for Geneva.

The hotel is very outdated and not particularly clean. Carpets are incredibly filthy. One of our original rooms was in the annexed building which was much lower standard than the main building. My parents are 70 and it wasn't suitable for them as there was an abnormally high step to get into the shower that would be dangerous for anyone regardless of age. Annexed building didn't have proper air con during summer. There was just a mobile AC unit in there with the pipe sticking out the window meaning you couldn't close the window, which additionally didn't have mosquito mesh on. The carpet in there was stained and tatty so they moved to another room. Staff weren't particularly pleasant and requests or conversation were met with an impolite and condescending tone.

Excellent Location. Literally 2 steps from Geneva main station. Friendly staff. Nice cafe downstairs.

On check in the carpet was damp and there was a strong damp smell the first day.
